PARIS
Anabela DARBON has a Science Degree in Physics & Applied Mathematics, a MSc. in Astronomy & Astrophysics, and a PhD in Radiation & Plasma Physic. She holds a recognized six sigma certification and a (currently non-active) high security clearance.
Anabela has an extensive background in physics and complex projects acquired over the past 15 years through professional experiences in multiple fields applying radiation physics. She has worked as a medical physicist, has provided scientific and technical support to optical and X-ray devices (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, CNRS; XMM-Newton Science Survey Centre; Very Large Telescope, VLT), has conducted research projects on the ionized gas surrounding supermassive black holes (European Southern Observatory, ESO) and worked on defense projects requiring a high security clearance (French Atomic Energy Agency, CEA). She has published more thant 70 articles and conference proceedings ( > 2000 citations). She enjoys working in interdisciplinary and multicultural environments.
In Septembre 2010, Anabela joined EOS imaging (ex-Biospace, a company founded by the Physics Nobel G. Charpak) as Advanced Research Leader. She is in charge of the advanced R&D studies, of the elaboration of testing procedures and clinical imaging trials for research prototypes, of radioprotection expertises, and of EOS advanced projects management, acting as EOS's interface with the academic partners.
