TOULOUSE ET LONDRES
Interactions between shadows and lights have always been part of me. Not only for the interplay between light and darkness, but for what they have to say to each other.
Brushing the world with only Painting for breathing.
The shock that causes from contact with reality imposes for me the recourse for oil painting: dense, carnal matter, the intense use of pure colour. On the canvas, trying to combine light and sensuality of the paint, the ardent touch becomes servile.
Why do I search for a generous, excessive work?
My abstract quest is that of deep memories of reality, reappearing from the real, not their representation.
The search for authenticity to express and transform the urge into new spaces.
What I hope to achieve with my work is:
- To show new ways for breaking our chains,
- To learn to unmasks oneself entirely,
- To acquire a free state of mind in order to achieve a freedom of actions,
- And, to create new ways of looking and new perspectives, subsequently to intersect them.
To paint, not to be understood, but to show some ways of giving us freedom, to be released from our constraints. This tireless quest gives the essential accent to my pictures. All my work may be seen as a gradual progression to throw off this yoke.
