    2008 - 2013 To Support the signaling and messaging product range of Belgacom International Carrier Services by addressing the repair activities at 1st line and coordinate with international customers and partners.

    To do the first line repair of signaling and messaging products. Continuously in contact with customers ensuring that the products meet expectation and repair problems that our customers (both internal and external) encounter.

    Provide timely feedback to the customers.

    Main tasks are:

    • On-line monitoring of the service performance, measuring the quality of our products and taking corrective actions both proactively and reactively.
    • Front line support and customer complaint handling (B-B environment)
    • Propose and introduce network and traffic solutions

  • Belgacom International Carrier Services - Signaling and Messaging Engineer

    2007 - 2008 Troubleshooting, implementation of new customers, opening of roaming relations and traffic migration, monitoring (SS7 and SMS traffic) (Signalling SCCP/STP, SMS and MMS).

    Software used: Siemens´ STPs, Openmind, Techtronix, Citrix, GoGoblal and internal tools (ITR and Signalling Election Tool).
    Tasks:
    • Configuration of new Point Codes and Data Links in Siemens´STPs.
    • Configuration of new Point Codes and Data Links in Techtronix´s monitoring system.
    • Troubleshooting for signalling customers (SCCP and STP) using Siemens, Techtronix, data bases and statistics.
    • Troubleshooting for SMS customers using Openmind and Techtronix.
    • Opening of new roaming relations.
    • Signalling traffic monitoring.
    • Rerouting of SCCP and MTP traffic.
    • Proactive monitoring of signalling traffic.
    • Responsible for the migration of the SCCP traffic for customers.
    • Proactive monitoring for SMS traffic to avoid SPAM.

  • Belgacom International Carrier Services - Carrier Operations Engineer

    2006 - 2007 Member of the Transmission Provisioning Team (ITMC), I configure, check and troubleshoot in close collaboration with various customers. Special focus is given to reliability and quality of the transmission link over PDH, SDH or optical DWDM equipments systems.

    I work on Marconi Equipments, Veraz compression equipment, Alcatel SDH network.
