2008 - maintenantAfter my experience on the assembly line, I have been promoted to the expert status and came back to europe.
As an expert, i am ensuring the follwing functions:
• Estimate assembly time & investments for projects in acquisition.
• Support D&D department and plants as expert.
• Reduce plant start-up cost in Korea.
• Evaluate commercial interest of In-sourcing project

2005 - 2008The Faurecia Interior Systems plant in Fountain Inn, USA has for main customer BMW. It is producing Instrument Panel, Center Console and Door Panel.
I was mainly involved in the start up and production of the BMW X5 (code: E70).
But I also worked on the production of the previous BMW X5 (code: E53) and BMW Z4 (code: E85).
My main tasks were as following:
Launch Engineering:
• Design/implement new assembly equipments with vendors (450 k$ investment)
• Establish work content and workstation design according to ergonomic considerations
• Manage traceability system start-up
• Select and implement new processes to improve quality results (up to 20k$ project)
• Integrate engineering changes to shop floor
• Responsible for documentation update (standard operations, cycle time analysis)
Lean Manufacturing:
• Define and implement new layout and lead Production System Efficiency activities (5S/Kaizen)
• Manage transition for volume decrease and productivity raise (labour reduction of 50%)
• Improve Logistic System: packaging, storage solutions, material flow and small trains
Cost Reduction:
• Lead scrap recovery, rework, and general cost reduction projects (1 M$/ year)

2005 - 2005Responsible for finding a process to incorporate electrical wires in plastic components:
-research existing process and adapt it at automotive industry
-evaluate and compare the different process.
