    Lead the Japan organization to move successfully from legacy systems to Oracle. Coordinate and negotiate all aspects of files conversion with Japanese company for readiness within 8 ? months to support launch.
    Improve Gross Margin for Mainframes (legacy) products between 7 - 14 Gross Margin points and 1 – 2.5 point for Open Servers over previous product with direct impact to profit line (2005: $ 4.6M; 2006: $ 3.5M)
    Renegotiate a 3-year Royalty agreement resulting into a $3.8M revenue and profit improvement over earlier contract.
  • Unisys - Director of Operations – HP Program Office

    Blue Bell, PA 1998 - 2000 Responsibilities:

    In charge of day-to day Supply Chain Management operation (Order to Billing) with HP contract Manufacturer (OEM).

    Key Accomplishments:

    Negotiate on behalf of supply chain all processes and changes required to provide HP products in support of build to Customer Order (BTCO), resulting into an OEM contract agreement with HP with $ 150M turnover.
    Define, set-up and test all processes to allow continuance of operation within 3 months of OEM agreement signature and Unisys PC manufacturing closure.

    Blue Bell, PA 1997 - 1998 Responsibilities:

    Provide overall global strategic financial leadership in support of a worldwide manufacturing/distribution division with facilities in California, France, Brazil and Japan.

    Key Accomplishments:

    Define and develop all processes for startup operations in Brazil and Japan including collecting and assessing key business and industry trends, import/export regulations, statutory and tax requirements; setup operational structure and provide on-site training in support of new operation.
    Initiate and implement re-engineering programs to improve product Competitiveness; establish worldwide cost reviews with product marketing, sales and operation management, to track commodity cost trends and reduce overhead
  • Unisys France SA - European Manufacturing and Engineering Finance Director

    1994 - 1997 Responsibilities:

    In charge of all financial, accounting and legal matters for the European PC manufacturing facility in France and its distribution center in Belgium.

    Key Accomplishments:

    Implement the financial and accounting changes in support of the plant new engineering and manufacturing mission. Support and launch the “Build to Customer Order” process; implement financial changes and control to fit the “commodity” market; Changes resulted in improving inventory turnover from 63 days to 15 days and reduce obsolescence by more than 50% within 18 months.
    In support of Corporate HR, define and defended plans for the closure of the Distribution facility in Belgium and the Engineering operation in France (~140 people). This includes analysis, negotiations with Union representatives and local government authorities and on time execution resulting in Company annual savings in excess of 10M$.

    1991 - 1994 Responsibilities:

    Define, control, prepare and maintain all operational, financial, statistical and legal records to manage the Distribution activity in accordance to corporate, legal and statutory regulations.

    Key Accomplishments:

    Negotiate with Government agencies, local authorities, outside consultant and Corporate the creation of a Corporate Branch in Belgium changing the tax status of the Center, resulting in tax and duty savings for European distribution in excess of $ 5M annually.
    Develop and Support the de-centralization of Order Management and the creation of a “Pan-European Logistic” concept. Implement, coordinate and centrally manage all financial matters of the Pan-European organizations.
  • Unisys - Finance Manager

    Blue Bell, PA 1987 - 1991 Represent the European Finance community in defining, testing and implementing a worldwide backlog and inventory system (CBS/CIS), still in use today, to provide total order visibility and maximize inventory utilization.
    Close and transfer the European Parts Distribution Center from Scotland to Belgium, with the establishment of financial administration and control procedures for more than 30,000 spare parts.
    Manage all financial matters related to the sale of the Liege manufacturing operation and Unisys obligations towards the new company. Negotiate with curator and organize the sale of the remaining company assets caused by the new company bankruptcy, resulting in asset recovery in excess of 10.5M$ of company property.
