  • Google - Google Developers Mentor for Francophone Africa

    Paris 2014 - 2016 Leading and advising Google Developers Community Managers in Francophone Africa (West and Central Africa), and creating an awareness about the use of web and mobile technologies to solve local problems both for individuals and businesses.

    My key responsibilities mainly involve:
    - Mentor/advise Google Developer Group (GDG) chapters in the Francophone SSA countries;
    - Connect them with other GDG leads that may be able to guide them or share their experiences;
    - Collaborate in the development of activities, on planning of events and organizing events;
    - Share useful developer resources in French that will be of help to them;
    - Help the communities build and maintain shared resources like slides/code repositories;
    - Maintain communication channels like Google+, Facebook, mailing list, WhatsApp, Twitter, Hangouts for share info about events and activities;
    - Reach out to incubating chapters to offer help with getting started;
    - Foster collaboration and information sharing among GDGs in the region;
    - Do other things that will make the life of the GDGs in the regions easier and more fun!

    As metric, we have:
    - Encouraged and mentored 18 events for celebrate International Women Day in 8 countries,
    - Organised and mentored 20+ I/O Extended in Francophone Africa (12 countries),
    - Organised and mentored 10+ GDG DevFest in 8 countries,
    - Encouraged 100+ Events (meetup, codelabs, hackathons, training).
