Entreprises

  • Intel - SW/System architect

Meudon 2012 - maintenant Software architecture for power at platform level.
  • Intel - SW integration

Meudon 2009 - 2011 Wireless communications (2G/3G/BT/WLAN...) integration into Mobile Internet Devices.
Driving complete integration of speech solution (acoustics, VoIP, 2G/3G) on Android smartphone platforms - from architecture to implementation.
  • Texas Instruments - Software system architect

Villeneuve-Loubet 2008 - 2009 As a software system architect I define the imaging SW(camera/video/still picture) for 2-3G mobile phone products, based on TI chipsets, ranging from ultra low cost devices (ARM7/TI C54) up to OMAP4 (Cortex A9/TI-C64+) application engines, mainly focusing on:
    - System use cases analysis, including system partitioning (HW/SW/cores), functional and performances analysis (from 3 to 8 megapixels, 15 to 30 fps, JPEG, H264/MPEG4 record and playback).
    - High level SW system architecture and design and API specification for camera and video
    - Technical TI-customers interface to align overall system integration (Symbian/S60/S40/RTOS)
    - Technical articles and presentations for conferences and symposiums, including UML for embedded systems, JPEG and JPEG2000, temporal Petri nets modeling, flash size reduction techniques.
    - Patent applications (co-author for 20080240074, 2 other patent proposals in the submission process).
  • Texas Instruments - Software Technical Project Leader

Villeneuve-Loubet 2007 - 2008 As a software technical project leader I was responsible for the technical definition of the SW for a low-cost mobile phone product line. Main areas of responsibility included:
    - SW architecture and high level design for new features (FM RDS, MIDI32 voices, battery authentication…)
    - Software requirements definition and ownership (>1000 SW requirements)
    - Power, performances and memory targets setting and monitoring, for each SW release. Power consumption was optimized by 80%, while RAM and flash memory footprints decreased by 20/10% over 6 months.
    - Change management: Enhancement requests analysis, support to development teams (debug, new features…).
    - Technical coordination with the development units (6 teams, >80 SW engineers)
Main challenges included fitting feature-set into extremely constrained memory & power budget, ability to deal with wide technical areas (L1, L2/3, audio, RF, multimedia…), interacting with multiple teams (management, marketing, HW and SW development…) in multi-cultural and international organizations (more than 100 people in the Americas, India, and Europe), and time to market in a strong competition environment.
  • Texas Instruments - Software Systems Engineer

Villeneuve-Loubet 2005 - 2007 Technical leader, responsible for an audio framework software component running on a multi-cores (ARM-DSP) environment, including
    - Technical lead of the development team
    - Architecture definition and requirements for new programs
    - releases (content, quality, delivery) to the various programs
    - Estimates and planning for evolutions
    - Customer support and training
    - Software engineering
  • STE/STM - Software team leader

    2000 - 2005 SW team leader.
Lead the software team of the Nexperia Mobile Multimedia Sophia group.
    - Conducted software engineering and project management for applications embedded on multimedia SOC processors targeting mobile phones products.
    - Implemented various applicative and infrastructure software components, codecs, operating system ports, software infrastructure for Java virtual machine on ARM platforms.
    - Designed and tested drivers for multimedia and peripherals.
    - Managed SW team, development environment and tools, and method, corporate software reuse strategy representative.
  • Thales Alenia Space - Software Engineer

TOULOUSE 1999 - 2000 Software engineering on satellite software validation benches
  • Thales Airborne Systems - Software Systems Engineer

Courbevoie 1996 - 1999 Software engineering on electronic warfare airborne equipments.

Formations

  • Institut National Des Sciences Appliquées (Villeurbanne)

    Villeurbanne 1989 - 1994 Genie Electrique
  • Lycée Montchapet

    Dijon 1986 - 1989
