  • Satec Société d'Aide Techniques et de Coopération - Training of extension Agents

1968 - 1990 Agricutural Extension Program dealing with Peanuts and millet production in the Senegalese peanut basin.
I was at first extension agent trainer and later moved to the position of training of trainer before joining Satec (A french Development company) headquarters in Dakar where I was in charge of Radio broadcasting educational messages to farmers in the peanut basin through a successful radio Program called"Diisoo"(related in talk). After getting initiated in Audiovisual(Slides show and 8mm film production) I later went for a film training module in France (CLCF) before supervising the planning and production of numerous educational films.
After my training in the States in 1980-1982(Indiana University in Bloomington Indiana and others universities), I was in charge of a Audiovisual Project at Cetad (Centre d'Entrainement aux Techniques Agricoles de Developpement)located Pout(Region of Thiès)where various media formats(slides shows, leaflets, brochures, pamphlets, 9mm and 8mm films) were produced.
The films and slide shows were shown using mobile units equiped with film projector, screens and generators, in various villages of the peanut basin, to bring about behavior changes in agricultural production techniques, such the use of machines and team of oxen to farm between 1982 and 1990.
