Dominique Pouliquen Director of the Reality Capture Group in Autodesk IPG Division, based in San Francisco, California.
Autodesk has its headquarters in California, USA, and is the worldwide leader in 2D and 3D CAD software, with such products as AutoCAD®, Revit®, 3ds Max® or Maya®. Autodesk bought REALVIZ in May 2008, a company that M. Pouliquen co-founded in March 1998 from a technology transfer with INRIA (National Research Institute for Computer Sciences and Automatics). He was CEO of this company for 10 years, developing its image-based content creation software business in the special effects and digital imaging markets all over the world.
Mr Pouliquen has spent his career in the computer graphics industry after graduating as an Engineer from Ecole Superieure d'Electronique de l'Ouest, Angers, France in 1986.
Mr Pouliquen has co-founded the Sophia Start-Up Club in 1999, and has been its President for 3 years. The Sophia Start-Up Club was a non-profit organization, which aimed at helping entrepreneurs in the Sophia Antipolis region. He also launched the Sophia Croissance initiative in 2006. Both were backed by the Fondation Sophia Antipolis and M. Pierre Laffitte, founder of the technology park. Since 2005, M. Pouliquen is also an active member of the Investment Committee for Primaveris, a seeding fund organization based in Marseille. He was President of the Selection Committee for Paca Est Incubator in 2009 and 2010. He joined the Sophia Business Angels Club early 2010 and played an active role as a board member in 2010, before being President in 2011 and 2012.
