2013 - maintenantPlan, prepare and manage conference services for major WMO and other meetings both at Headquarters and abroad, and supervise the good running of those services:
o coordinate, with C/CNF, the preparation of major WMO meetings such as Technical Commissions, Regional Associations, Executive Council or Congress (logistics, preparation of budget estimates, compilation of statistics for optimization of resources, etc;);
o manage the logistics for WMO meetings and events, such as the celebration of World
Meteorological Day, World Water Day, etc.;
o Attend meetings at Headquarters and abroad, manage the delegate registration database, issue identification badges for delegates and WMO staff;
Manage the operations of the WMO Conference Center on a day-to-day basis:
o Manage reservations of conference rooms for external clients and arrange for provision of facilities
o monitor the delivery of assigned tasks, with a view to utilize efficiently the conference resources and advise the Chief of the Unit on procedures and possible cost-effective measures
o supervise the technical and administrative support conference staff involved in the provision of conference services; provide administrative guidance and ensure that up-to-date procedures and methods are followed; keep abreast of technical developments and advise the Chief of the Unit on the necessary replacement or purchase of equipment;
o develop and maintain computer-based systems for conference management and event planning, room allocations and budgeting;
o compile statistical reports of WMO and Conference Center meetings, and in organizing surveys on quality of conference services provided by the WMO Conference Center;
Assist the Chief of the Unit in the recruitment of conference support staff and interpreters;

o assist the Chief of the Unit in the recruitment of conference support staff and interpreters (preparation of travel, of contracts, of documents …)
o participate in logistical preparation before the event
o answer to last minute requests onsite and make sure that the meeting is taking place in the best conditions.
Assist C/CNF in managing the operations of the WMO Conference Center on a day-to-day basis
o Manage reservations of conference rooms for external clients and arrange for provision of facilities and services
o monitor the delivery of assigned tasks, with a view to utilize efficiently the conference resources and advise the Chief of the Unit on procedures and possible cost-effective measures
o supervise the technical and administrative support conference staff involved in the provision of conference services
o provide administrative guidance and ensure that up-to-date procedures and methods are followed
o keep abreast of technical developments and advise the Chief of the Unit on the necessary replacement or purchase of equipment;
o develop and maintain computer-based systems for conference management and event planning, room allocations and budgeting (creation, implementation and monitoring of online booking system, website, online form for preparation and budgeting of meetings…);
o compile statistical reports of WMO and Conference Center meetings, and in organizing surveys on quality of conference services provided by the WMO Conference Center.
