• SHELL GABON onshore revamping projects (Engineering department)
Client: SHELL - GABON
Responsibilities:
• Custodian of pipeline network and process simulation models for Shell Gabon operated facilities; use of models to identify bottlenecks and plan facility improvement projects to economically meet future demands
• Lead front end project management for opportunities, and provide process engineering input to others’ opportunities
• Plan own and others’ activities to meet priorities of Engineering
• Provide schedule input to the company integrated activity plan for front-end opportunities
• Lead FEED studies for small/medium improvement projects
• Mature larger projects for handover to Shell Projects & Technology at decision gate (concept select completed, Basis for Design prepared)
• Lead detailed design by contractors
• Answer technical queries in construction and commissioning
• Technical authority
• Technical authority input to projects and operations, consistent with Shell technical authority level (sole process engineering technical authority for Shell Gabon)
• Provide process engineering support for operations:
- Wells Reservoir & Facilities Management; lead and contribute to integrated reviews to identify and progress production improvement opportunities
- Contribute to risk assessments for operational problems
• Review critical drawings and contribute to plan for as-building campaigns
• Complete (or contract out) consequence modeling work to support operational decisions (e.g. gas release modeling, fire & explosion modeling)
• HSSE activities
• Lead HAZID and HAZOP studies
• Act as member for the Shell Gabon hazardous area classification committee
• Process and flow assurance modeling
• Developing and using UNISIM models for process simulation (steady state)
• Use and modify PIPESIM models for steady state pipeline modeling
• Continuous improvement
• Lead and use After Action Review techniques to find and implement improvements in daily working and HSSE practices
