2014 - 2014The Sandspit Inn is a 20 bedroom hotel, with an on-site restaurant and pub with a licensed Bar. Complete management of the Hotel, from hiring staff (10 employees – kitchen staff, bar staff, service staff, housekeeping staff and assistant manager) to ordering food and supplies, event management, scheduling, overseeing tasks and work done... A very demanding position with long hours, pressure, very little budget. The operation of the Inn was taken in the last minute (May 2014) by the Sandspit Community Society, as the previous operators dropped out in the previous winter. The hotel is still operating and has had a successful season.
