Mathematical background, PhD in computer science, more than 10 years of experience in public and private R&D.
I love the simplicity of mathematical models hidden in our physical world. Partial differential equations and diffusion models and stable algorithms are nicely unveiled when watching clouds pass by, while Markov models and gaussian bells emerge naturally in human languages phonetics. I experienced how computer programming can allow to share these visions into reusable code for applied projects.
After a mathematical education (with some physics), I worked for 9 years on computational linguistics, diving into machine learning for natural language processing. Then I switched to meteorology, starting with surface remote sensing from satellites. I am currently developing my skills in fluid mechanics modelling for meteorology and climatology and have a strong interest in machine learning applications.
