Writing the RDBMS Access Layer (Codename SQLBO) alone and most of the RDBMS drivers would be probably one of my biggest challenge. BusinessObjects with this abstraction layer was the first to get asynchronous execution with Oracle working and the first BI product on win95 ( Thanks to the thunking 16/32 bits layer ). In 2005, BusinessObjects 6 was still using SQLBO with the support of dozens of RDBMS and platforms. Not bad. This was an incredible period where I've learnt a lot and met fantastic people.
