Gerhard Rotter is Senior Director Governance and Risk Management at Alcatel-Lucent. Since 2006 he has held various positions at global and regional level with solution, business, finance and risk management responsibilities for portfolios of up to € 4 billions.
Prior to the Alcatel-Lucent merger he was Director of Business Processes & Project Office, PMO and deputy VP Operations of the Mobile Solutions Integration Business Division and before that Director for Business Strategy and part of the executive management team of the Transport Automation Division.
Prior to these positions, Gerhard held various management positions in Alcatel-Alsthom, CEGELEC, and companies in Germany and Austria. He was also consultant to the Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna (IAEA), the OECD, the Economic Commission of Europe (ECE) and the International Institute of Applied System Analysis (IIASA).
Gerhard holds a Master of Science and a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Vienna. He also participated in special programs of INSEAD and the London Business School.
Gerhard is married with 2 children and lives near Paris. He enjoys skiing, architecture and drawing.
