    Sector: Integrated Facility Management for pharmaceutical industrial sites
    Transition Management to deploy a single IFM supplier on 4 industrial sites in Italy.

    Preparation phase: manage interface with IFM client, scope validation, analyze & validate financial hypothesis, define and implement site organization, drafting Service Level Agreements.
    Implementation and Start-up phase: assure compliancy with regulatory requirements and client procedures, define operational processes, implement HR & HSE processes, and deploy new software tools.

    Set-up a back-office service for an engineering department (20 M€/year managed projects)

    Main project phases: 1) validate activity perimeter, 2) define interconnecting processes with existing departments (engineering, accounting, finance), 3) define desired skills and competences for the new team, 4) dimensioning, recruiting and training, 5) implementation.
    The back office department was dimensioned to manage 150 projects/year.
    The resulting team was composed of 4 assistants and 1 middle management.

  • Sabbatical Break - Travelling around the world

    2008 - 2009 I took a professional break to realize a dream, travelling around the world and learning about places, people and local customs.

    During this time I travelled through Mexico, New York, Fiji, Vanuatu, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, India, Uzbekistan and few more European countries.
  • SHELL - Supply Chain Optimiser (Supply Trader)

    Paris 2006 - 2008 I coordinated the optimisation team for the Berre refinery (45 million oil barrels/year).
    The team (8 to 10 people) was in charge of short-to-mid term production planning and execution.

    My role also included the strategic management of supply chain in Southern France.

    trading on inland market

    The accountability perimeter included Berre refinery, its coastal depots and terminals, road gantries, and 4 pipelines connections.
  • SHELL - Process Engineer (Technologist)

    Paris 2003 - 2006 My main areas of expertise were bitumen production, baseoil production and waste water treatment.

    I provided technical support to Operation Units in several activities including troubleshooting, production optimization, debottlenecking and project development.

    Other support activities included: product quality assurance, operation and process safety, energy efficiency, and CO2 emission monitoring and reporting.

    On project side, I was largely involved in the preparation and execution of the major refinery turnaround.
    My contribution included process unit modifications (safety control) and work validation (technology side) before start-up.
  • TRANSOCEAN - Rig Engineer Trainee

    Courbevoie 2002 - 2002 I was assigned to TRIDENT 20 jack-up rig in the Caspian Sea (Azerbaijan).

    My focus was on operation safety and some spot projects (ballast estimation before rig tugging, maintenance operation supervision)

    During the on-boarding period, I spent extensive amount of time on on-hand work (roustabout, roughneck, derrick-man) to get acquainted with the working environment.
