    Courbevoie 2018 - maintenant The ITER project is a first of a kind Nuclear Experimental Reactor aiming to demonstrate the industrial viability of electric power generation using Nuclear Fusion as the heat source. This ambitious project brings together 35 countries in an attempt to revolutionize tomorrow’s energy.
    As a member of the site coordination team, my task is to manage co-activity between contractors of different fields and cultural backgrounds, and ensure all parties involved meet their ends of the contract. This involves cultural adaptability and flexibility, combined with a rigorous work ethic, as the challenges are many and diverse.
    My specific scope at ITER is the Cryoplant buildings. Constructing the biggest Liquid Helium Cryogenic facility in the world means overseeing the assembly of thousands of components in a very dense, multi-level environment. As the dedicated MOMENTUM coordinator, I have to bring the Contractors together to create the coordination plans, and then must maintain a near-constant site presence to ensure the respect of safety regulations and said coordination plans.

    • Significant site interface with construction teams on a daily basis, anticipating issues and managing conflict scenarios to mutually benefit the construction program.
    • Participation in platform briefs under F4E / ENGAGE coordination and to act as liaison between these activities and the MOMENTUM organization. In cases where building are under MOMENTUM coordination then allocation of buildings may be set, therefore requiring dedicated focus and leadership for coordination matters.
    • Maximize the productivity of IO / MOMENTUM construction teams through effective coordination with the Works Contractors, work site supervision and project controls groups, ensuring unnecessary delays are anticipated and effectively mitigated and additional costs are not incurred.

    for four buildings (power conversion buildings) on the ITER site.

    by means of a XIth blast furnace. The furnace was built on the Benedictine College campus, Atchison (KS).
