Design review & Independent structural analyses for sevarals structures regarding environmental effects (helideck and flare tower under wind and VIV effects; Structure resistance under vessel motions, Kingpost structures….).
Offshore platform structures assessment
1. Offshore platform certification & NSO calculation (New Strudl Offshore – Finite Element software developed by BUREAU VERITAS including offshore tools for static and dynamic analysis, in-place, seismic and fatigue analysis).
Design review of calculation notes (API RP 2A WSD, Noble Denton guidelines, AISC ASD, DNV RP C203…) including approval of drawings, foundations, cathodic protection of fixed offshore platforms & independent analysis for 9 Platforms in North sea and 6 Platforms in West Africa.
2. Offshore platform lifetime extension: Design review of platform inventory including inspection history, modifications and structural analyses for more than 10 Jackets.
Jacket Structural Integrity Management (SIM)
- Development of BUREAU VERITAS SIM methodology (Structural Integrity Management) that provide an on-going process for the structural risk assessment of existing offshore platforms.
- Offshore SIM analysis for jacket inspections: Review of existing inspections reports, evaluation of the joint risk ranking using the SIM methodology and creation of a structural Integrity Management Plan for the next inspection campaign.
o 4 platforms in the Bayu-Undan field (ConocoPhillips)
New Technology Qualification
- Development of BUREAU VERITAS Methodological Guideline for Risk Based Qualification of New Technologies.
- Wellhead Barge Qualification (SAIPEM / TOTAL): Qualification of wellhead barge concept
