Levallois-Perret 2013 - 2013my study final project concerns the optimization of the PE extrusion operation. The problem in INOPLAST was the huge waste quantity. An identification of the different sources of waste and nonconformity was achieved through studying the Overall equipment effectiveness and the different tests and controls made in the receipt of raw materials ,in-process and on the finished and stored products. The concept of just in time, his contributions and his impact on the 7 types of waste was introduced. The optimization techniques which allow the identification and the reduction of wastes and the improvement of productivity and quality were rigorously selected taking into account the specifications of the company and the detected anomalies. The technics 5S, SMED and ICHIKAWA was introduced and implemented. Gains made was discussed and reviewed.

- we determined the microstructures of a stainless steel used by the company industrial and naval construction, as well as a weld made by the MIG / MAG process.
- we determined a hardness profile of the weld from the base metal to the molten zone.
- we studied the material behavior facing a tensile and bending
which confirmed that the rupture of the specimen is far from the weld and confirmed the ductile criterion of this material.
