  • OANDO PLC - COUNTRY MANAGEMENT

2012 - maintenant Lubricant Business Development Manager
    • Responsible for executing plans to meet the sales and marketing target of the Commercial and Retail Lubes through effective technical services and marketing strategies.
    • Responsible for building, maintaining and sustaining good and lasting customer relationship with our entire Commercial and Retail customers by ensuring excellent service delivery.
    INCREASE THE LUBES MARKET SHARE
 On weekly sales plan, there is at least one customer (Retail off-forecourt/ gallonages or an industrial customer) who is prospected to sign into the customer base.
 As a team player, I do my customer poaching with my RBM/CBM, except they have a tight schedule, then I go alone but give them feedback as the prospective account manager.
 Measure the efficiency based on the number of new customers added to the retail network (distributors or gallonages) or the commercial network.
PROVIDE LUBES TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR THE RBM/CBM
 Visit the retail outlets at least each retail branch/week to do a routine check on the following:
 Station Lubes Sales to know how well they are performing.
 Station Lubes Stock to ensure no stock-out on any grade.
 Our Lubes packaging condition, so replace all faded labels and broken caps in the station so that the products remain attractive to the customers.
 Quarterly check on the quality of the bulk SMOR 40 in the station by collecting ½ L from the station bulk oil POS, send it to Plant to confirm the quality of the oil, this will help to ensure that the station is not dumping another external oil for sale in the station.
 Plan a technical after sales service for selected commercial customers in order to add value to the business relationship; so offering for them the following:
     Lubes Survey
     In-house Lubes Training,
     Used Oil analysis
     Used Oil Management
Give logistics support to all the lubes warehouses in-order to supply all sales made by the RBM/CBM.
 Visit/call all the warehouses supervisor to plan stock replenishment of all lubes grade with them based on the current week and sales history of the branch.
 Communicate all new lubes request to Plant by raising new PO & SO for production/dispatch planning; the target is to have at minimum two weeks adequate sales stock of all grades in the warehouses; then supply gap will be avoided to a greater extent.
 Engage RBM/CBM to remove out all hindrances to closing any lubes sales deal or supply.
    New Product Development Expert
 Study the trend of lubes business, what competition is doing, and engage the line supervisor on the new trend so we can develop/plan on how to match/supersede competition, meet customers need and get better margin.
 Research different literature to understand the formulation for new product development, and then share findings with the supervisor and Plant for guidance and action if approved.
    Trainer
 My in-depth knowledge about lubricant is vast, so I plan and train my sales team (RBMs, CBMs, retail outlet staffs and my industrial customers) about product knowledge, sales and handling.
 Organize product presentation to increase the product knowledge of products to Union members of mechanics, and Union members of commercial drivers.
Support product promo campaigns of the Lubes department.
 Organize local product promo to support the sales of specific product range; seek the support of Head office Corporate Communications team to be more effective.
 Identify strategic locations and radio program where adverts of products can be put up to improve brand awareness; and communicate to line supervisor and the Corporate Communications team in head office.
