  • Airbus Helicopters Chile SA - Directeur général

    2008 - 2010 Member of the board of this subsidiary of 70 employees with Sales of US$70m, reorganised processes to cope with a significant growth and comply with the Group quality standards.
    Main achievements:
    • Definition and implementation of a sales strategy targeting new civil and government markets in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Peru and Uruguay which generated a 20% increase in 2009 sales;
    • Development of new services with the creation of a design office to integrate new mission systems on helicopters, certification of the engineers training centre and pilot type rating training centre and creation of an avionic repair workshop
    • Full compliance with EADS policy for international business transaction;
    • Launching of requirements analysis, planning and installation of an ERP information system (SAP B1);
    • Increasing quality standards: Appointment of a full-time quality manager, introduction of Flight Safety in the quality objectives, Creation of a tool calibration workshop, and access control to spares warehouses;
    • Segregation of the helicopter completion workshop from maintenance workshop;
    • Change Management to improve behaviours with customers, compliance with agreed lead times, engagement and accountability.
  • Airbus helicopters UK Ltd - Managing Director

    2007 - 2008 Member of the board, led the integration of Eurocopter UK (Sales £89m, 180 employees), after the acquisition of McAlpine Helicopters by Eurocopter in 2007. This included change management, introduction of new processes and reporting, planning for a significant industrial growth (£330m+) to cater with new military and off-shore contracts through new facilities in Oxford and Aberdeen, recruiting etc.

    2002 - 2007 Member of the Board of this British independent distributor of Eurocopter in the UK and Ireland with sales of £51m and 169 employees, main achievements were:
    • Definition and implementation of a sales strategy targeting higher market shares thanks to a unique in-house high-tech mission systems integration capacity for Police (73%), Ambulance(73%) and VIP (50%) helicopters;
    • Development of the defence market which allowed signing of a first contract in 2008 for the Special Forces;
    • Creation of value: net asset value multiplied by 5.5;
    • Increase of yearly sales by 14% with a total of 79 helicopters sold in six years and maintenance of a fleet of 60 helicopters;;
    • Development and implementation of a strategy to increase customers satisfaction which grew from 55% to 76% through training of all staff to get their engagement, creation of a customer front desk and shift work in the completion and maintenance workshops to shorten lead times and comply with agreed delivery dates.
  • Airbus/ EADS international / Aerospatiale - VP Latin America

    1998 - 2002 At corporate level, using a wide ranging network and process to assist subsidiaries - Airbus, Eurocopter, ATR, MBDA, Astrium, Defence Systems and Systems &Telecom - to win new business. The Group order intake for Latin America reached €860m in 2001 vs. €760m budget. Responsibilities comprised identification of target business for the Group capture plan, appointment and management of local consultants, budget & target price intelligence, financing & off-set and government authorities lobbying.
  • Airbus/ EADS - Aerospatiale Space Defence - Marketing Director

    1997 - 1998 Member of the executive committee of the Industrial Operation Centre (sales US$270m, 2.000 employees), marketing to commercial companies, with a team of 7, space & defence technologies from ballistic missiles, ARIANE launchers and satellites.
