Hugues Van Espen has 18 years of experience in Sales and Marketing and global Marketing management experience in B2B companies (Insurance, ITC and Industries) at national and international level. He joined Toyota Europe in 2003 as European Marketing Manager of the Industrial Division. In 2007, he was appointed European Marketing Director of Toyota Material Handling Europe, a company born from the merge between Toyota Industries Corporation (Japan) and BT Industries (Sweden). In 2008, he was appointed Director of the Board of Toyota Material Handling Netherlands and Toyota Material Handling Belgium. In 2009, he became Territory Manager for France. In 2013, he moved to France as Commercial Director for Toyota Material Handling France, in charge of a direct sales team of 70 people and a network of 33 independant dealers.
Before joining Toyota, Mr. Van Espen held several Marketing Management positions (product manager, marketing manager) at Océ-Belgium NV (Canon Group today) and served as Network Project Manager for the Winterthur Insurance Group (AXA Group today).
Hugues Van Espen was born in Brussels, Belgium in 1971 and grew up in Rwanda, Burundi and Belgium. He graduated with honours in 1996 from the Louvain Business School with a degree in Applied Economics.
