Duties :
• checking client's credit ratings
• Oversee daily accounting activities (for over 200 accounts) required to maintain general ledger,
• Review daily bank account reconciliations,
• Planning financing plan using cheques or drafts,
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities,
• Assist in budget and forecasting duties,
• Review and approve invoices, credit notes,
• Assist in year-end financial audits,
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual OS and other board meeting schedules,
• Managing the outstanding sales balances falling due and contact customers before the balances become overdue to confirm payments.
• Setting and monitor credit limits.
• Developing and implementing a Direct Debit payment system.
• Where required initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are bought to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Keeping the company up to date with new credit management procedures and techniques.

Obtain timely relevant customer and financial data to establish criteria for reviewing and setting new and existing customer credit limits to £10k by the Credit Control Team Leader up to £75k by the Assistant Credit Manager and Credit Director International Outdoor Coalition above £75k.

o Maintaining up to date files by customer regarding actions taken to recover outstanding debts, resolution of queries for review by relevant Credit Control Team Leader, Assistant Credit Manager and Credit Director International Outdoor Coalition.
o To ensure correct allocation of cash, invoices, credit notes and journals to maintain a reconciled accounts receivable.
o Provide monthly data regarding accounts receivable condition to review by relevant Credit Control Team Leader and report to Credit Director International Outdoor Coalition
o Provide day to day credit support to relevant sales divisions within set credit policy, to assist good communications and service excellence to customers.
o Proactively review all pre-book/seasonal orders.
o Prepare documentation for trade debt litigation for Credit Control Team Leader and/or Assistant Credit Manager, review and subsequent communication with solicitors to maintain up to date legal actions and files
o Attend review meetings with Credit Director of relevant Coalition and relevant Credit Control Team Leader or Assistant Credit Manager, Sales Management and Account Co-ordinators
o Any other duties as assigned to the Job Holder within the Job Holder's capabilities.
