  • Labinal Power Systems - Center of Excellence Division Manager - Systems

2015 - maintenant Within an international team of 340 + engineers in 3 different countries, the systems CoE (Center of Excellence) captures the needs of our customers all around the world and develops the electrical systems solutions (generation, distribution, conversion but also more electrical aircraft systems). The systems team operates mainly from Toulouse, Paris, London and Cleveland. My responsibilities encompass the technical accountability and authority, the make or buy decisions, resources allocation, contribution to main company plans (MTP, LTP, make or buy, HR, PLM, HSE...) and KPIs (OTD, OQD, economical performance...) related to systems design and development.
  • Labinal Power Systems - Head of Systems Department, Power Division

2014 - 2015 Our highly skilled system team (40 engineers in Toulouse, Colombes and Réau-Villaroche) is in charge of electrical systems design & development, from Research & Technology activities in the frame of More Electrical Aircraft preparation and product roadmaps deployment, to global technical & commercial proposals management and certification support on our electrical system test rig, the COPPER Bird®. Our team won and is developing four packages on Embraer KC390 aircraft (primary distribution, secondary distribution, emergency power generation and electrical system integration). Deployment of Make or Buy and Design To Weight and Cost methodologies, contribution to company strategic plans (budgetary, Human Resources, IT, subcontracting and partnerships, technical, industrial and product lines)
  • Hispano-Suiza - Electrical Systems Team Leader & Head of Systems Department, Safran Power Division

Colombes Cedex 2009 - 2013 The electrical systems department is in charge of aircraft electrical systems design, development, integration and validation. My team grew from 6 to 30 systems engineers and electrical architects in two years and we opened a new design office in Toulouse to be closer to our customers. Involved in electrical systems developments and all technical proposals in the frame of major Requests For Proposal for SAFRAN group companies or airframers, we also prepare the ``More Electric'' Aircraft for SAFRAN Group, through competencies and know-how development in the frame of electrical generation and distribution (ATA24), electrical engine start, electrical taxiing, ice protection and actuation for landing gears, wings and nacelles.
  • Hispano-Suiza - Head of Electrical Harnesses and Identification Systems Design Office, Electrical Division

Colombes Cedex 2007 - 2008 Leading a team of 15 technical engineers, in charge of development, validation and qualification of electrical harnesses solutions for all civil and military engines of Snecma and CFM International, as well as engine identification systems linked to FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Controls). Design, components obsolescence management, technical data and definition management, qualification and certification preparation, research and technology, calls for proposal and marketing, make or buy decisions and subcontractors management, cost reduction operations, SAP data migration and performance indicators deployment for development and post-development activities.
  • Hispano-Suiza - Programme Manager, Research & Technology, Strategy and More Electric Development

Colombes Cedex 2004 - 2006 Manager of the POA (Power Optimised Aircraft) European research programme, 12 M EUR , five years. Aircraft systems validation platform (COPPER Bird®) design, integration and exploitation. Development of two aircraft equipment prototypes (fuel pumping and metering system and oil breather). Co-founder and organiser of the TEOS Forum (Technologies for Energy Optimised aircraft equipment Systems) and Hispano-Suiza representative for SAE (Society of Aerospace Engineers) and for AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics). Preparation of the European programmes MOET (More Open Electrical Technologies), 2,5 M EUR , three years, HIRF (High-Intensity Radiated Fields), 1 M EUR , three years and Clean Sky, 28 M EUR , seven years. Regular technical exchanges with electrical systems and networks specialists from aircraft manufacturers Airbus, Boeing, Alenia, Cessna and Bombardier and engine manufacturers Snecma, Rolls-Royce and General Electric.
  • Safran Engineering Services - Engineering consultant

Paris 2003 - 2004 Engineering consultant for Hispano-Suiza, Colombes (Paris Area).
Design and set-up of the Aircraft Systems Validation Rig for the characterisation of aeronautical power networks in the frame of the POA (Power Optimised Aircraft) programme. Technical specification of the test bench (600 m2, 12 pieces of equipment under test), test plans definition, rig integration and exploitation. Follow-up of subcontractors and partners, coordination of the 15 European companies involved.
  • Safran Engineering Services - Engineering consultant

Paris 2001 - 2003 Engineering consultant for PSA Peugeot Citroën, La Garenne and Vélizy (Paris Area).
Design and integration of a test bench for the study of electrical arcing phenomena in vehicle environment. Technical data gathering, tests definition and test bench assembly and set-up. Coordination of the test campaign and external laboratories contribution. Involvement in the 42V on-board power network research project (architecture, energy management, validation, reliability, safety and availability) and in the set-up of a electrical connectors and harnesses validation laboratory. Design of a test bench and associated test plan for qualification of Airbag harnesses.
