After 10 years of strong commitment to NAO, Pepper and Romeo, I decided to leave Aldebaran. Since I'm convince that robotics will improve our world and help us to overpass our coming global challenges, I focusing on setting up a new project around interactive robotics.
At Aldebaran, I occupied the position of Chief Creative Officer, Executive Vice President.
I'm considering robot as the next generation of human to machine interface. Create interactive robot is not a easy story but I'm sure we are pioneers of the next computer major evolution.
Aldebaran :
- Define and manage Aldebaran-robotics Vision and product strategy.
- Managing departments with large teams (up to 130 multicultural engineers).
- Leading the Innovation and Product Strategy departement : Mechatronics and Software research laboratory (AM-Lab Paris, AM-Lab-Nantes, AI-Lab, Romeo)
- Product Conception and R&D Roadmap definition for both mechatronic and software.
- Experience working with different cultures-Europe/US/china/korea/japan
- I also created the architecture of NAOqi OS and Choregraphe. NAOqi OS is the first humanoid based operating system including an interaction layer (Body / voice / emotion). Choregraphe is an easy way to develop apps for NAOqi OS. The NAOqi OS ecosystem includes an Appstore and a collection of web services to extends the robot capabilities.
Background :
- Team Manager in robotic software (c/c++, python, ruby, QT and so on). Senior architect engineer and regular multi-platform coder.
- Strong knowledge on robotics software architecture and real-time processing (multithread, audio/video signal processing).
Interests :
- Very strong interest in Human to humanoid Interface / HRI (Human Robot interface).
- Enthusiasm for solving complex problems on creative applications.
- I'm a polyvalent worker, I enjoy discovering new technologies in my off hours.
