HOUSTON
Senior Offshore Structural Engineer with more than ten years experience on Topsides, Turret and Marine Structures. Already held Lead Engineer activities on various jobs and willing to get more responsibilities. Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative. Enjoy working in a multicultural environment and multilingual (fluent in French, English, Italian) with a good knowledge of Far East culture. Gained practical experience on Brownfield projects & through site visits (onshore & offshore).
After a two-years experience as a Methods and Offshore Structural Engineer at Saipem where I focused on construction engineering and gained practice and understanding on international design codes, I joined SBM Offshore and worked for three years as a Lead Structural Engineer on Turret and Vessel structures. I led a team of designers/engineers and had the opportunity to develop my communication skills with Management and Site Construction teams.
I kept on working for the Italian contractor Saipem and got involved on the CCFT Shotkman Phase I, CLOV and GORGON projects where on this latter I helped into supervising a team of young/senior engineers.
I am at the current stage employed by SBM Offshore where I took part onto several detailed and brownfield projects where I defined the offshore lifting integration and transport while following the construction of a module for an existing FPSO (BC-10).
I also carried out pre-design & handling studies (e.g. vent, flare, helideck, turret) for OSX2 and QUAD FPSO units. I was in charge of writing up key structural deliverables e.g design basis & scope of work for subcontracted packages.
I have been working for nearly two years in SBM Houston offices where I liaise with an international team on Stones FPSO and my main endeavour is focused on the topside module structural design.
