En résumé

En complément de ma formation initiale d'officier de Marine Marchande, j'ai fait le choix d’intégrer l'ESSEC pour y faire un mastère spécialisé en Logistique et Supply Chain Management.
Cette formation a eu pour but d’étendre mon champ d'analyse et de découvrir ainsi toutes les facettes de la logistique.

Cela m'a également permit de rentrer chez CMA CGM pour y devenir superintendant. Apres quelques années à ce poste, une opportunité de carriere s'est ouverte a Singapour. A la fois directeur de flotte et responsable du bureau, j'ai ainsi eu le plaisir de créer une filiale, de recruter mes équipes et bien évidemment de gérer cette société au quotidien. De retour au siège, je suis aujourd'hui Directeur des achats pour une flotte en propriété de 135 navires de type containers et gère une équipe de 35 personnes.

  • CMA CGM - Procurement Director

    Marseille 2012 - maintenant CMA Ships is a subsidiary of CMA CGM dedicated to the Technical, Crewing, Procurement, and
    New building of the owned fleet (150 shore staff and 4,500 seafarers, turn over 190 MUSD on
    Procurement only)

    Team leader of 35 persons located in Shanghai, Singapore, London, Morocco, Le Havre and Marseille
    my tasks are to

    - Ensure that the procurement and the process are complying with the Safety Management
    System, ISM code and regulation in force.
    - Ensure that requisitions are processed on due time and vessel delivered according to
    Superintendent's requirements.
    - Negotiate and administrate all the company contracts necessary for the fleet.
    - Manage the relationships with our suppliers including the Key contracts for the Company
    - Elaborate and propose the Logistic process for the fleets
    - Assist Superintendents and Fleet Managers in the preparation of fleets' budgets
    - Propose to the Company management improving measures for procurement efficiency and
    savings
    - Anticipate the market evolution for the whole range of commodities and propose adapted
    strategy to the Fleet Managers
    - Validate orders and invoices within the authorization delegated from the company
    management for its range of scope.
    - Negotiate the equipment of the forthcoming New building vessels
    - Establish and ensure the application of the Responsible Procurement Policy
    - Perform and follow Suppliers Audit. ;
    - Administrate our warehouse, and identify key parts to be stored.
    - Purchase equipment and software for the proper operation of the shore staff.

    I report directly to the Vice President of CMA Ships.
  • CMA CGM INTERNATIONAL - Managing Director & Fleet Manager

    2008 - 2012 CCISC, CMA CGM INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COMPANY PTLTD
    CCISC is a subsidiary of CMA CGM in Singapore for the Fleet Management of Vessel. I was sent by
    CMA CGM to establish the company, recruit, train and manage local staff. I had a dual function of
    Managing Director and Fleet Manager. CCISC has 8 shore headcounts and about 200 seafarers.

    As Managing Director my daily tasks were to
    * Develop CCISC in line with the instructions given by CMA CGM head office and the business
    plan
    * Prepare, follow and report the budget
    * Train, recruit, and appraise the staff

    * Promote CMA CGM culture in all aspects ;
    * Develop a risk management culture ;
    * Prepare financial audit

    I reported to the Vice President of CMASHIPS and the CFO of CMA CGM.

    A close cooperation with the local Authority has allowed CCISC to be granted with the Approved
    International Shipping scheme giving us Tax rebate in Singapore.

    As Fleet Manager of 8 Very Large Containers Carriers my task was to
    * Prepare, follow and report the running cost of CCISC Fleet,
    * Train the Superintendents ;
    * Comply to the international Regulations, and prepare the Flag state audit
    * Assist all CMA CGM Vessels calling in Singapore or passing nearby
    * Approve all vessel expenses
    * Follow Insurance claims ;
    * Monitor the regulation to anticipate the expenses ;
    * Suggest and test various equipment and feedback to CMA CGM about the findings
    * Supervise the Dry dock of CCISC and CMA CGM vessels in the Asian Area.
  • CMA CGM - Superintendant

    Marseille 2006 - 2008 In charge of 3 containers vessels ( 5,700 to 9,400 teus, fitted with engines between 80,000 to 93,000 hp,
    LOA 280 to 340 m), I was dealing with the day to day of the vessel as well as

    * Planned overhauls/ repair works ;
    * Develop, implement and follow the maintenance on board ;
    * Technical support ;
    * Conformity of the vessel to the international class, flag and IMO Regulations ;
    * On-board general assessments ;
    * Negotiation and purchase of spare parts and consumables ;
    * Preparation and completion of Dry Docking. ;
    * Review and evaluation of Hull and Machinery, as well as P&I claims
    * Compliance with the quality and safety management system
    * Regular travel for vessel inspection ;
    * Undertaking of pre-purchase inspection and sales of vessel ;
    * Budget establishment.

    Budget 2 million USD/ Vessel, excluding HFO


    * Management of emergency situation, following of the repair, and finalisation of damage record in
    close contact with underwriters:
    o Repairs after the grounding of the CMA CGM OTELLO (8,400 teus, LOA : 337m), 2,500 tons
    of steel replacement
    o Repairs following the collision of the CMA CGM BERLIOZ (6,500 TEU, LOA 300m), 20
    meters of breach
    o Wreck removal of the M/V ROKIA DELMAS, deadweight 28,000 tons, total loss
  • Brostrom Tankers SAS - Superintendent

    2005 - 2005 Technical Superintendant
    Acquired by Maersk Tanker, Broström Tankers was the French subsidiary of Van Ommeren Tankers.
    They used to own 14 product tankers operating worldwide. As part of the technical team (10 persons, 4
    Superintendents), I was in charge of the day to day management of 3x35,000 DWT tankers, including the preparation of Dry Dock and Vettings.
