For him, driving complex and modern retail and its brands issues requires more than ever a precise anticipation of their legal potential.
He never stopped from arguing that legal must be used as a key tool for turnover growth and net profit targets.
Thanks to his creative and audacious way of handling the legal text, the supposed restriction "law" business reputation input is over. Law input turns into a powerful partner for Retail's Brands looking for expansion roads and winning but also unusual strategies.

SIGNIFICANT PREVIOUS PROJECTS

• Sale of the MEDIA SATURN group’s business activities in France to the HTM group.
• Legal arrangements for the advertising campaign "Si la France gagne, Saturn vous rembourse votre téléviseur" which won the 2010 LSA Oscar for innovation (famous french retail magazine).
• Negotiation and conclusion of commercial leases for the Media Saturn group in France including the lease for the largest electronics retail store in France (12,000 m²) under the SATURN brand, the expansion of which won the 2008 CNCC trophy.
• Redrafting of the contractual instruments in order to provide the brand with greater commercial reactivity in dealings with its suppliers. This reactivity won the ITR/GFK trophy for the most dynamic brand in 2005.

    was the french subsidiary of the MEDIA SATURN HOLDING group which is the European no. 1 and world no. 2 in retail electronics (METRO group)

    France: 35 SATURN stores in France, €600 million in turnover and 2000 employees.

    - Creation, structuring and positioning of the legal function.
    - Creation of tools and procedures designed to secure the group’s business activities and commitments in France.
    - A multidisciplinary, operational approach to the legal function from the risk management point of view.
    - Deciding upon the MS France group’s legal strategy and contractual policy.
    - Monitoring and ensuring that operations were in compliance with the group’s governance rules.
    - Implementation and training of executive and operational staff in the ethical and behavioural rules drawn up by the group (MSH Compliance Policy).
    - Cross-functional, multidisciplinary involvement in the group’s various administrative and operational functions (stores, marketing, finance, purchasing, construction and real estate), and particularly in supporting development/expansion (drafting, negotiation and conclusion of leases for the SATURN stores).
    - Restructuring and reorganisation of the group in France, including adapting and rolling out the organisational model which was inherent both in the concept itself and in the current SATURN philosophy in Europe.
    - Data Protection Officer in dealings with the CNIL (the French Data Protection Agency).
    - Group reporting and contact person for the MSH Group’s Legal Department in Germany.
    - Supporting the group in establishing closer ties between the MSH group and the HTM group (Boulanger and Electro-Dépôt brands) consisting of handling the sale of all of the MEDIA SATURN group’s business activities in France to the HTM group.
    - Management and monitoring of legal disputes and provisions.
    - Legal monitoring of the group MS France’s companies and subsidiaries – a portfolio of 19 companies.
    - Contact for the DDPPs (Departmental Directorates for the Protection of the Population), the DGCCRF (General Directorate for Fair Trading, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control) and the Competition authority (Government Authorities).
    - Creation and introduction of KPIs specifically for the legal activity.
