Warehousing and Supply activities
Most of my activities as a storekeeper in the Supply in the mission are as follow:
-I order Non-Expendable and Expendable items for all the mission agencies at Post from various source of vendors.
Orders include office items, maintenance items and residential items. (i.e. From the pencil to an entire set of residential furniture) throughout the Procurement section, based on the mission needs for its functions.
-For the receiving action I inspect and compare against purchase orders the quality and the quantity of all arrived items for report before any item can be stored or returned to the vendor and I inform the customer.
-Items after receiving are stored by agency, and the stock level is controlled either by the WEB PASS NEPA or by the WEB PASS STOCK CONTROL system. Expendable Items are reordered when the stock is at the minimum level. The Non-Expendable items every 5 years.
-Inventory of both Expendable and Non-Expendable items for offices and residences are made annually and reported to Washington in March.
-AMB and DCM residences inventories are required in November of each year and when the occupant has changed
-Residential houses are inventoried for new occupancy and when the occupant departure Post.
-The supply section is the most concerned about the Mission public sale organization.
-Quarterly and non scheduled reports of Non-Expendable items are provided throughout the year to Washington or to Charleston.
-The Supply section handles all deliveries, the set-up for make readies of all residences before occupancy,
The removal of the US Government property from residences when a lease is terminated.
-Special orders are handle by the supply section i.e. 4th July set-up, award ceremony set-up, Peace-Corps swear-in ceremony set-up, delivery of party supply, download and delivery of items from special aircrafts arriving at Post.
I serve approximatly 30 request orders per day. Request for supply is available in the outlook called "Niamey Supply"
