PARIS
An Irish man in Paris since 2004 and a full time photographer.
When I discovered photography at the age of seventeen it opened up a world from which I often felt apart from, not a part of. Photography gave me a voice... a means with which to express my unspoken point of view. My photographs are about me, they express who I am, how I feel, and how I see the world. My point of view.
I hope that my photographs touch people, and carry them to a place of comfort and reflection and perhaps introspection. A place to wander...
My aim is to record the dimensions of life, the living, the objects and the colours; the beginning, the end and all the contours of our journeys. The internal, the external and how all pieces depend on each other, our interdependence. When you see the photos people not only see the folds and sharp edges but they feel............when I am at my best the viewer hopefully feels hugged........touched!
It's difficult to be objective about "my" photographs, they are not mine!
What comes to me and touches me in a photograph, I also wish it to touch others.
I prefer to give my voice to wedding and portrait photography.
