Within a new organization of OPL and in relationship with China, I am the OPL Product Development Manager at Dorel Juvenile Europe, the world largest juvenile products company (branded Bebe Confort, Maxi-Cosi, Quinny, Safety 1st ,...). As such, with a dedicated and international team, I am the NPD management interface for all OPP and PL (Private Label) products of Dorel Juvenile Europe.

My technical expertise allows me to follow or develop good value for money products in a very controlled in regulation domain and especially - with constraints of costs on Design to Cost approach, to preset platforms and adapt them to market opportunities, based on products sourcing mainly realized in Asia.
Through a synthetic vision of all the projects with a methodological and operational approach, my function implies the management of resources, relationships with numerous international contacts and travels in Europe, USA and in Asia.

Managing through projects, I know how to animate and revitalize international-wide teams.
Mechanical Design Engineer graduate’ degree of the UTC (University of Technology of Compiegne), I always forged a preference for the design and the innovation applied to the product.
My experiences enabled me to acquire knowledge and thanks to my facilities of adaptation to exploit my skills in management in various sectors of industry.

  • DOREL Juvenile Europe - OPL Product Development Manager

    2016 - maintenant In charge of Product Development for the recent OPL Organization (announcement in April 2016) within a Business Unit team of 14 people dedicated to OPP, MPP and PL products - 30.9 M€ turnover - I am responsible for the coordination of all NPD follow-up activities . I manage, through projects and track the developments from new products or existing platforms optimization sourced in Asia.
    Based on my previous Chinese experience period I facilitate collaborations between Europe/China functional teams in order to ensure an effective implementation of NPD projects in the timeliness of product launch.
     I participated in the implementation of the OPL Business Driven Organization for OPP, MPP and PL products
     I especially managed the transition and the transfer of responsibility to China of the technical data, and computer graphic design development tasks - (animation of workshops and set up action plans)

  • Dorel Juvenile China - Product Management Director

    2012 - 2015 Dorel Juvenile China, 150 employees, for Dorel Juvenile Group Approximately 5000 employees worldwide;$2.4 billion in sales, January 2014 – Present, Luohu District, Shenzhen, 518001, China
    • In charge of the Product Management into Dorel Juvenile China, with my team (14 PE and 4 managers), I manage all New Products Developments for the divisions of Dorel Juvenile Group, from the concept phase to industrialization for the market sales.
    • As well, such as I am in regular contacts with all the main European, American or Australian New Products Developments divisions:
     Production transfers management between key suppliers
     Technical influence in the Asia sourcing for new Procurement options
     Support Procurement in cost negotiation based on technical assessment of Bill Of Materials (BOM) and product cost optimizations programs

    • Participation for the Implementation of the new organization Dorel Juvenile China
    From an organization of various entities working specifically for Dorel’s divisions setting up an overall new structure Dorel Juvenile China consisting of pillars such as Quality, Supply, Program and Product Management.
    • Developing the Dorel Juvenile competence center in China:
     Defining the structure (vision, responsibilities, challenge / opportunities) and optimizing Dorel juvenile global resources in China.
     Recruiting Managers and Products Engineers for staffing the structure.
     Ensuring operational excellence (leverage global strengths & best practices)

  • DOREL EUROPE - 350 ME of turnover - Stroller & Equipment Development Group Manager

    2009 - 2012 • I’m in charge of Stroller and Equipment categories at the European level – I manage 3 teams on 2 European sites: 1 in Helmond (NL) and 2 in Cholet (FR).
    • I am responsible for New Products Development from the design phase to the industrialization till the production start in Asia.
    • Through an operational approach, my function implies also contacts and international trips in Europe, USA, Taiwan and China (Shenzhen, Shanghai).
    • Member of the Steering committee Projects.

    2002 - 2009 • Within an international company leader on its market to instigate the search and the design for new products of strollers with strong added value - Training of Concepts Evaluation.

    • Through a synthetic vision of all the projects, Development and industrialization of products in “Time to Market'' on a market very controlled from regulations and industrialised in Asia.
    • So my function also implies international contacts in Europe, USA, and China (Kunshan, Shanghai) and to ensure of many business trips in China (5 times per year).

    1999 - 2002 The company applied 4 technologies for making products mainly in plastic.
    • Job creation, in charge of 2 design offices (7people),
    • The 1st one was focused on displays for the cosmetic sector - one off order launches
    • The 2nd one was geared towards industry - shower cabins or tanks in particular in rotomolding for key accounts customers - such as the sailing (Jeanneau, Beneteau), the caravanning (Pilot, Rapido, Hymer,), the automotive (PSA, Renault,), for agricultural machinery or engines (Renault Agri, McCormick,…) or others (Manitou, Caterpillar, Atlas Copco, JCB,…).
    • I brought the Engineering and design offices up to date – Increase the autonomy - Set up KPIs.
    • Recruitment of an English CAD engineer for the Bethune subsidiary (North of France).
    • Follow-up, Organize and plan the launching of new products on the various European factories, weekly meetings.
    • But also, doing lean manufacturing - implementation of new AUP (Autonomous Units of Production) in a process of continuous improvement on the production organization, flows for 3 French factories, KAIZEN Training.
  • SAFT ALCATEL subsidiary of the ALSTHOM group - Engineering and design Manager (10 people)

    1998 - 1999 •To follow-up the workload and organize the ISO 9001 mechanical engineering and design office by setting up indicators in order to improve the efficiency of the communication with the customers of telephony GSM (Philips, Siemens,) or other sectors such as the portable accumulators for general public and soldier (Bosch,…).
    • Budgeting and follow-up for the implementation of new a CAD 3D and to ensure with Co-Create agency the training of the Design engineers.
    • Control of a policy of cost savings programs by re-designing of electromechanical products
    (-15% costs Plan).
    • Learning and doing lean manufacturing Kaizen, Ishikawa, 5S, PDCA…
    • Hoshin animator – set up of AZP (Autonomous Zones of Production).
