  • Volvo -  Key Account & Program Manager

    Saint Priest 2012 - maintenant I’m leading the worldwide governmental sales business based on customization of standard civilian products (Trucks and Components). I have the responsibility over the complete value chain and product life-cycle (from early phase investigation, project execution to the after-sales). Business size of approx.100 persons

    • Lead the business development (investigation for new business opportunities, Request for Quotation or spontaneous offer)
    • Promote innovation for co-financed developments with customers
    • Manage 10 Chief Project Managers located worldwide (France-8, Sweden-1, US-1) in charge of projects executions
    • Build a 3 years rolling product plan with resources allocation
    • Manage the project portfolio of 50-60 projects (investigations phase and contract phase)
    • Negotiate and drive the R&D budget: 20 M Euro on yearly base, increased by 4 times over this period, sales follow the same trend

  • Volvo - Chief Project Manager

    Saint Priest 2010 - 2012 I managed a cross functional team (Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance), to deliver powertrain projects from investigation phases till start of production

    • Accountable for the complete project Quality, Budget Cost, Product Cost, Lead-time, Features
    • Negotiate and drive projects contracts (budget 3M€/year with 4 projects)
    • Report the projects progress (dash board, KPIs…) to the Project Office steering committees
    • Coordination with customers' vehicles projects

  • Volvo Powertrain, AB Volvo, Vénissieux, France - Project Manager

    2006 - 2010 I managed the in-house engineering deliverables (Quality, Cost, Lead-time, Features) for new driveline program (3 sub projects) with the targets to reduce emission level and deliver a world class product for Volvo off-road applications. I managed the project from the preliminary phase till the start of production

    • Engineering representative within cross functional team (Engineering, Purchasing, Operation, Quality, Aftermarket) reporting to Chief Project Manager
    • Main interface with the Construction Equipment Volvo brand
    • Lead Multicultural team spread over 3 sites (Sweden, France US). Core team of 15 persons head count peak at 60p
    • Build the project time plan with the workload forecast
    • Negotiate and drive engineering budget of 60M€
    • Defined the technical concept to reduce emission level (New after treatment system)

    → I implemented new validation process to reduce project development loops
    → I created new high altitude proving ground in Les 2 Alpes (French Alps) negotiated with the local authorities
  • Volvo Powertrain, AB Volvo, Vénissieux, France - Project Manager

    2004 - 2006 I steered a Volvo industrial partner (German OEM) in charge of technical development of new driveline for off-road applications. I was managing the engineering deliverables (Quality, Cost, Lead-time, Features) of this program (4 sub projects)

    • Main interface between the OEM and the different Volvo R&D departments in charge of the engines installations into the their products (5 sites & 5 product lines)
    • Negotiate and drive engineering OEM budget of 50M€
    • Creation and management of the worldwide validation plan shared between all sites: North America, Sweden, France, Germany and South Korea. Multicultural team of 12 engineers

    During the period, I was also responsible for the verification and validation plan for engines installation into the automotive applications (Trucks and buses)
    • Secure product Feature achievement within the project team, reporting to the project Manager Engineering
    • Drive and negotiate the design changes on vehicle and/or engine to meet the features targets
  • Continental - Project Engineer

    Toulouse 2003 - 2004 • I was responsible for the technical answers for the Request For Quotation from Renault and Peugeot, reporting to the Key Account Manager
    • I steered the Advance Engineering Activities subcontracted to French laboratories, reporting to the Diesel Program Manager in Germany
    • I was the technical interface between Engineering teams from Siemens and Renault during industrialization project of new Common Rail system
  • Altran France - Development Engineer

    Vélizy-Villacoublay 1999 - 2003 I was consultant in engine management strategies development (Gazoline, Diesel) within Renault engineering department

    • Software validation and specification for Tier1supplier during industrialization project
    • Creation and development of common torque management structure for Gasoline and Diesel engines up to Technology Readiness Level 6. Management of 2 technicians for fast software prototyping, hardware in the loop and in use testing activities
