    2014 - 2015 * Area Manager West DRC, Matadi, DRC - 105 people
    Operations: Transit - Customs clearance
    - Responsible for the productivity and the profit of 3 operational structures;
    - Control and management of the import and export clearing processes;
    - Define objectives in terms of quality of service;
    - Ensure compliance and the respect of the service agreement with customers.

    Operations: Shipping
    - Represent and assist our business partner NileDutch in its whole activities in DRC:
    management of equipment and demurrage charges, consignment of vessels,
    management of the NileDutch's containers terminal, business representative of NileDutch, administrative assistance and claims management;
    - Ensure the consignment of vessels: vessel's port call management, IN and OUT
    clearances, follow-up of ship loading and unloading, defend the interests of the
    shipowner, the shipper or the consignee and provide all the services indispensable for a
    successful port call such as refuelling or crew change.

    Commercial
    - Explore business prospects in Bas-Congo and offer local and international combined
    logistic solutions (Ex.: Inga hydroelectric dams, Perenco);
    - Identify suppliers and negotiate their rates.

    General management and finance
    - Act as a Comexas representative by managing the relationships with customers, suppliers and local authorities;
    - Oversee the financial operations of 3 operational entities;
    - Define needs in human resources.

  • Comexas Afrique - East DRC - Area Manager

    2013 - 2014 * Area Manager East DRC, Bukavu, DRC - 50 people
    Operations: Transit - Customs clearance
    - Responsible for the productivity and the profit of 4 operational structures;
    - Control and management of the import and export clearing processes;
    - Define objectives in terms of quality of service;
    - Ensure compliance and the respect of the service agreement with customers;
    - Follow-up with our business partners in order to ship goods between the harbours of
    Mombasa, Dar es Salaam and East DRC.

    - Explore business prospects in North-Kivu and South-Kivu and offer local and international combined logistic solutions (Europe - Mombasa/Dar es Salaam - DRC);
    - Identify suppliers and negotiate their rates.

    2010 - 2013 Monitored the Belgian military operations abroad 24/24.

    2008 - 2009 Developed action plans for an infantry unit and organized the training of the personnel.

  • Belgian Defence - 12th Infantry Regiment - Training Company Commander

    2008 - 2008 Team Leader of 30 specialized instructors who trained the new recruits of the Infantry.

  • Belgian Defence - 12th Infantry Regiment - Combat Company Commander

    2005 - 2007 -Led a unit of 130 people in its operational, logistical and administrative aspects;
    -Defined the training program of this unit and ran this training in Belgium and abroad.

  • Belgian Defence - 12th Infantry Regiment - Executive Officer - Deputy Company Commander

    2002 - 2005 -Assisted the commander of a Company (130 people) in the logistic and operational fields;
    -As Executive Officer, coordinated support cells of this detachment to meet the objectives set by the command.

    1999 - 2001 Managed a unit of 30 people and trained the personnel of this unit in Belgium and abroad.
