I'm a PhD student in Machine Learning for robotics at IRISA and Thales. More specifically, I design gesture recognition systems for human-robot communication in harsh environments.

Prior to pursuing the PhD, I graduated in 2013 as an engineer from Ecole Centrale de Lille, a French Grande Ecole. While the school is multidisciplinary, I specialized heavily in computer science and applied math.

I love programming and even more so when it starts to solve math problems. I like learning (a lot!) about new technology and sharpen my skillset.

My dream job would involve advanced mathematics applied in a software engineering context, like large-scale ML or robotics AI.

  • Thales Communications - Software Engineer Intern

    Colombes 2013 - 2013 My team was writing a complete radio simulator, replicating the whole OSI stack down to physical layer. I was in charge of an experimental component computing radio propagation in city-like environments where buildings cause complex interferences.

  • CGG - Software Engineer Intern

    Paris 2012 - 2012 I helped administering an in-house datacenter processing geological data. I developed a graphical stats reporter and a real-time failure monitoring dashboard.

  • Thales Avionics - Software Engineer Intern

    2011 - 2011 I joined the In-Flight Entertainment team, which designs airplane passenger multimedia devices, where I programmed and maintained remote control devices running embedded Linux.

  • Université Bretagne Sud Lorient Vannes

    Vannes 2013 - maintenant PhD

    I design a glove-based hand gesture recognition system to interact with robots in harsh environments. I work with a lot of hardware tech (IMU, flex sensors and other electronics), and I process all of those signals through carefully crafted machine learning algorithms to detect gestures in real-time.

    Joint employment within IRISA lab and Thales (thanks to the CIFRE program).

    Villeneuve D'Ascq 2010 - 2013 MSc. (Engineer)

    Versatile, widely acknowledged degree, equivalent to an MSc. I personally put a strong focus on computer science and applied math.

  • Lycée Fenelon

    Paris 2008 - 2010 MPSI-MP*

    Fairly intensive studies for preparation to the selective entrance exam in French Engineering "Grande Ecoles". Advanced math, physics and computer science.
