    2013 - 2014 Within the framework of a Memorandum of Cooperation between UNHCR and Greek First Reception (Duty Station: Orestiada Evros) Main activities and responsibilities: Overall management of illegal migrant flows entering Evros area. Facilitate and assist the First Reception Service in the implementation of projects, particularly in the context program information, provision of non-food items to new arrivals Cooperation with the competent authorities, including local police authorities and UNHC to identify people in need of special attention and care or people in need of international protection, including unaccompanied minors, Addressing emergency needs that may arise, such as the subsequent treatment of people requiring special attention (unaccompanied minors, single parent families, elderly people, people who have suffered traumatic experiences, survivors of shipwrecks, victims of trafficking or torture), Provision of NFI in coordination with First Reception Centre, ``feed'' on regular basis, First Reception Service and UNHCR with information and statistics on prevailing conditions in the field regarding immigrant arrival rates, asylum, volunteering repatriation, vulnerability rates needs and challenges, Cooperation and coordination with different stakeholders (NGO's) and local police authorities with an eye to strengthen and support First Reception Service capacities and processes, Proven solid experience on national protection procedures and processes regarding vulnerable groups(victims of torture/trafficking, unaccompanied minors, single parent families), on asylum policy, familiarity with national public administrative working practices and ability to coordinate with, several institutional partners, Receiving asylum seekers demands of international protection and refer them to Asylum Service, Receiving immigrants volunteer repatriation demands and refer the to IOM, Conduct references to Hellenic Police after immigrants completion of First Reception Service Procedures, Facilitate communication of newcomers immigrants with their family members if and when it was possible and always in respect for human dignity and the principle of family unit.
