Marie Karall, a French mezzo-soprano began her operatic studies at the Conservatoire and Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, then she joined the Rome Opera Studio of Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia / Italy.
Marie was awarded First Prize at the Azuriales Competition in St-Jean Cap Ferrat in 2006, winner of the 20th International Competition of Clermont-Ferrand Opera from Teresa Berganza in 2007. She won the Audition des Directeurs d'Opéra international competition organized by the Centre Français de Promotion Lyrique in Paris 2010, winner of the Prix lyrique Œuvre des Saints-Anges 2011, prize given by the director of the Rennes Opera and artistic assistant from the Liège Opera.
She has sung with Chorégies d'Orange, Montpellier National Opera, Lausanne Opera, Reims Opera, Massy Opera, Saint-Etienne Opera, Tours Opera, Vichy Opera, Toulon Opera, Clermont-Ferrand Opera, Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne, Salle Cortot, Strasbourg Palais des Congrès, in London / UK, Bruxelles / Belgium ,Festival d'Opéra Avenches/ Switzerland, Aspendos antique roman theatre/ Turkey (Verdi Gala in duet with Jose Cura)...
Marie Karall's roles include Carmen, Charlotte, Dalila, Santuzza, Maddalena, Preziosilla, Federica, Fenena, Azucena, Orsini, Smeton, Neris, la Périchole, la Grande Duchesse de Gérolstein, Erda.... and her appearances in concert include Alexandre Nevsky, Verdi Requiem, Stabat Mater from Pergolesi.
