  • Helios Towers DRC - Saving Control – RMS & DC Power Manager

    2014 - maintenant Position held: Saving Control – RMS & DC Power Manager
    Main Role: Responsible for saving management of every site under hybrid or SNEL grid: Tracking, Fixing, Reporting;
    Put in place all necessary means and procedures to ensure a good tracking of 'fuel saving;
    Responsible of all communication related to fuel saving with different partners and with HTD sites responsible persons;
    Fuel saving discussions: keep focus on identifying solutions to the question "how to make savings";
    Responsible for all questions related to RMS project management or other monitoring measures;
    Responsible for all installation and monitoring of the good working conditions of all saving related equipment (DCB, solar panel);
    Responsible for assessing testing and preparing any new procedure linked to new products or equipment useful for saving;
    Collaborate with the fuel manager, assessing monthly fuel consumption and orders. Ensure they match with expected savings, explain and resolve discrepancies otherwise. This will require a regular monitoring during the current month (on a weekly basis) of fuel consumption per each site.

  • Helios Towers DRC - Project Assistant

    2011 - 2014 Main Role: Follow-up of all the company technical projects. My main goals are Cost saving, On Time delivery and Successful achievement of any Project in my agenda. Also in charge of the coordination of site planned work to establish standard work procedure, including Health safety and environmental compliance and ensure control of spare maintenance cost per month (OPEX).

    Site audit and contactors reports due diligence In charge of the peer review of contractors reports as selected for auditing 728 telecom sites (old properties of MILICOM GROUP);

    Tower Structural Analysis In charge of the peer review of tower structural analysis reports for 350 towers;

    Sites Generators upgrade Coordination of the replacement of old generators to install better fitted capacity ones;

    Colocation project Supervision of civil work contractors for adding new Tenants to existing sites;
    RMS & BBS (an energy storage and remote monitoring system) Supervision of the deployment of the hybrid power system using state-of-the art control and battery systems to store sufficient energy to power a base station site for up to 12 hours a day, significantly reducing diesel consumption and CO2 emissions. This new system also reduces HTD's reliance on generators without compromising its strong track record of delivering over 99.9% uptime on all sites across DRC.
