I have a long experience in Commissioning activities both in my country Algeria and in Saudi with GE Energy where I assumed the position of DCS commissioning engineer in a large Power generation plants in loop checking, hardware troubleshooting and replacement, Software installation and configuration, and reporting daily activities to lead and commissioning manager.
My job was also focused on supervision role of instrument and Control contractor crews during DCS cabling and instrumentation devices installation, powering and commissioning.
I spent more than 17 years in the instrumentation maintenance and project department working on gas-compressors Thermodyn, GE heavy duty turbines... etc on Gas Compression reinjection and Oil treatments.
I worked for long time in a multicultural environment, under pressure to achieve the goal fixed by my lead and the commissioning manager.

I am fluent in Arabic, English and French which give me more flexibility to communicate with client commissioning staff.
The HSE is my first concern during the job execution.

    Tasks
    Duties will consist of the following activities:
    -Trace through the software documentation
    -Implement control constant modifications
    -Reading and Modifying software sequencing
    -Operation and configuration of regulators
    -Creating and modifying graphics displays
    -Set up and modify the hardware and software associated with the BOP, Gas/Steam Turbine Control system
    -Implement control system software changes
    -Windows NT based operator interfaces
    -Work with both analog and digital controls
    -Install and terminate wiring, complete functionality checks, and troubleshooting the BOP and Turbine control system.
    -Perform start-up/shut-down sequencing and turbine/generator operation
    - Report to Lead DCS engineer and commissioning site manager
    -Assisting Local Instrument and control Engineers and technicians to understand instrument and control systems inside and outside the control room.
    -Use of Microsoft Office tools to establish report to help local operators and technicians to write technical daily report using images, Trends, and P& ID.
    - Use of Maximo (CMMS).
    -Assisting in the Calibration of end devices including transmitters, limit switches, control valves, transducers and power replays.
    -Identification & diagnosis of control system, power output maximization and all subsequent failures for analysis
    - Training and mentoring of Local I&C engineers & Technicians.

    • Instrument Technicians Supervision and coaching.
    •Preventive maintenance scheduling, Materials reserving for use and accepting after inspection in stores, Work history updating, etc., by having working knowledge in Maximo environment.
    •Procurement activities like Sending Enquiry, Offer validation, Expediting and material inspection.
    On the job training of locals in Instrumentation And Control systems both theoretically and practically.

    • Actively involved in SHE (Safety Health And Environment) activities.

    Role: Senior Instrument Technician
    Tasks
    •Carries out maintenance and testing activities on Oil treatment such Separator and vessels, Gas lift compressors and accessories, Water injection Turbo-pumps, Wellhead hydraulic surface valves, plant Utilities such Instrument Air compressors and cooling and fire water pumps.
    •Fault-finding and repair of instrumentation/electronic systems and equipment such transmitters, controllers, I/P converter, using Hart communicator, multimeters, electronic power calibrator, hydraulic test pumps..
    •Modifies, repairs or replaces systems and equipment
    •Participates in Risk Assessments as part of Integrated Safe System Of Work/Permit to Work preparation
    •Interprets technical drawings such: PI&D, PFD, Loop diagram, vendor documents
    •Using electronic document software for manual and data sheets such OPIDIS
    •Prepares reports on work done
    •Report to supervisor daily activities and incident reports.
