    Nanterre 2014 - 2014 Reducing oil consumption is a pervasive issue in automotive industries. One possible solution is the reduction of the vehicle weight. A potential way of achieving this objective is the use of composite materials. This graduation project is part of a collaborative project supported in part by the FUI (Fonds unique interministériel) whose aim is to reduce by 40% the mass of a truck cab by using composite materials. The graduation project is directed at a subsystem of the truck: the FUP (Front under-run protection system). This part of the truck prevents cars from getting embedded into it in the event of a frontal collision. In close collaboration with a designer, calculations were performed under Radioss to converge to a lighter model using composite materials in compliance with European regulations. The meshing and the data parameters were made respectively on Hypermesh and Hypercrash.

    Biberach an der Riss 2013 - 2013 The aim of the training within Liebherr was to model and make the analysis of tolerance on the system nozzle-pallet associated with the motor torque equipping the pressure regulating valves of the air conditionning of plane. Indeed, for a detailed plan, the manufacturing tolerances will lead to dispersions on the geometry of the parts, directly impacting the assembly and causing difficulty on the settings by the worker in production. To determine the origin of this dispersion on the valve adjusting and the weight of specified dimensionings for the good functioning of equipment, a software : Enventive - combining dimensioning chain analysis and statistics - was used.
