Vision
PLANETE ESPOIR (PE) in french or HOPE PLANET (HP) in english envisions a world in which every man, woman and child can enjoy an empowered life in security, dignity and with equal opportunities, in which the basic requirements of all people are fulfilled.
Mission
Our mission is to achieve lasting improvement in the quality of life of all people, regardless of their gender, race, religion, class or political affiliation, by mobilising resources, building partnerships and developing local capacities to: o Enable individuals, groups and communities to mitigate the effects of disaster and crises, prepare for their occurrence and provide humanitarian relief and recovery; o Assist the disadvantaged in becoming self-reliant by developing their own solutions to development challenges and creating sustainable livelihoods; o Promote sustainable development and address the root causes of conflict through programmes that target education, shelter, water and sanitation, health and nutrition and humanitarian dialogue; o Support the vulnerable, disadvantaged and marginalised and enable them to voice their needs; o Build local capacities. PLANETE ESPOIR is directing its activities to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
