Entreprises

  • Huawei - Senior Researcher

    Boulogne Billancourt 2015 - maintenant
  • Mathematical and Algorithmic Sciences Lab - Senior Research Engineer & project manager

2015 - maintenant Advanced research on mathematical tools and breakthrough algorithms for 5G and SDN networks. Preliminary studies on activities for FlexGrid and FlexRate optimization in optical transport networks. Design, development and testing of algorithms for ultra-fast routing of flows in IP WAN and DC networks, with performance close to the optimum. C++ implementation of a set of routing algorithms (constrained path computation, multi-commodity flow splitting, inter-domain path computation, and network slicing) that have been transferred to the product line and implemented in commercial versions of SDN controllers for WAN. Use of techniques of machine learning and deep reinforcement learning for the optimization of the Quality of Experience for video streaming in IP networks. Design and C++ implementation of constrained path computation algorithms for routing of video flows in an overlay CDN network (both unicast and multicast). Development and prototyping (through Coin-OR) of an algorithm for the allocation of instructions in a chip designed for SDN (P4 paradigm). Extension of an ONOS-based SDN controller for single domain (centralized architecture) and multi domain (distributed architecture) path computation. Development in Python of tools for instances generation for the sake of algorithm benchmarking.
For each of the above mentioned activities, I had to manage small groups of people (both in France and in China) to propose innovative solutions to the technical challenges identified by the business units of the company.
Presentations in PhD schools and international conferences.

Name and address of employer Mathematical and Algorithmic Sciences Lab, Paris Research Center, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
  • Thales Communication & Security - Research engineer & project manager

Courbevoie 2012 - 2014 Management of a French research project (ANR- IRIS, 1M EUR budget), participation to 3 European projects (VITRO, CalIPso, et A2Net, 2M EUR budget each), and to 1 French project (F-LAB).
Research on the Internet of Things: design, development (with Contiki OS), and testing of low-power routing and MAC protocols targeting efficient data collection (cross-layer approaches for energy efficient data collection). Use of CoAP protocol for device configuration in M2M communications.
Realization of a tool for the embedded Contiki OS for batch execution of simulation experiences.
Design and prototyping of a low-power consumption system based on double antennas in order to selectively wake up the devices participating to the data exchange (C++).
Design and implementation of a real testbed for smart parking application (Calipso project-realization of the data collection mechanism via CoAP, a RESTful protocol for IoT (Javascript and C++) for the embedded parking sensors) and for smart surveillance (Vitro project-design of the data collection application, UI definition and implementation, data collection mechanism-Javascript, JAVA, C++)
Supervisor of several interns and of a PhD CIFRE candidate.
Animation of panels in summer schools on the IoT.

Name and address of employer Thales Communication & Security, Gennevilliers, Paris, France
Domain of activity Advanced surveillance systems for civilian and military applications, radio communications.
  • Lepida spa - Project management

2010 - 2012 Project management of an online single-sign-on system, based on Java technology, for the access to services provided by the public administration.
Design and project management of a Java-based secure system for the exchange of personal and sensitive data between web services of the public administration. Design of system extensions in order to meet customer requests.
Design, implementation, and project management of a HTTP web server for live streaming of multimedia content-technical support for video streaming service business development.
Contact point for client/user of the web services (majors and local government officers of Emilia Romagna Region-more than 350 entities).
