2010 - 2015Effet of plastic constraint on the mechanical stability of damaged pipeline.
In the host laboratory of Centre des Matériaux I managed a researched project on the determination of a less conservative evaluation of the severity of a defect on a line pipe with the objective of reducing the maintenance cost of the GDF-SUEZ network. The aim of the project was to develop a model able to simulate the behaviour of an X63pipeline grade. A deep material and mechanical characterisation was made. A model able to reproduce the anisotropic behaviour of the material, taking in account the real distribution of inclusions was then produced. This project led to a better understanding of the use of specific specimen for pipeline (SENT). The developed criteria can be applied by GDF-SUEZ on its pipeline network.

2009 - 2009Trainship: Relationship between Charpy V-Notch impact value and fracture mechanics toughness. OCAS NV - ArcelorMittal R&D Gent (Belgium) The aim of the study was to improve the correlation between Charpy and CT tests in order to reduce the costs of material characterisation. During this project I analysed the microstructure and fracture surfaces of several samples on two steels by means of microscopic and SEM analysis.

Paris2006 - 2007Trainship: Study of the cooling time of pieces after the casting for direct qwenching, Manoir Industries (France). In order to reduce the cost of heat treatment on heavy pieces, direct measurement of the cooling rate of these pieces were made in the mold. A satistical analysis was then used to determine the diferent cooling laws.
