  • Cabinet Gosselin - Director of Marketing & Communications

    Boston 2012 - 2013 • Planning, developing and implementing all of the Cabinet Gosselin (French department of Gosselin Law) marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities.
    • Developing, implementing and maintaining the French website ‘Cabinet Gosselin’, all support materials, communications and public relations.
    • Coordinating at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the Organization.
    • Coordinating with the French community networks: French American Chamber of Commerce of New England, Boston Accueil, French Consulate General and in the rest of the US, French Cultural Center, Lycée international de Boston, other French speaking associations and consulates.
  • Consulate General of Canada - Consular Officer

    2008 - 2012 - Provided consular services - regarding passport, citizenship, pension benefits and arrest & detention questions - to Canadians living or visiting Northern California, Nevada & Hawaii. Worked in partnership with the Consulate General of Australia in Honolulu to offers these services in the Hawaiian islands. Had to use psychology, patience, finesse and perseverance to convince a young man with CP, autism and other neurological disorders, who had lost his passport and wallet and had been in California illegally for more than a year to return to Canada. Teamed up with a local Probation Officer to help a Canadian with ID problems.
    - Organized several prison visits with the Consul in Northern California to make sure Canadian inmates are treated fairly, and to make personal contacts with the staff.
    - Ensured that our office is prepared in case of a disaster. In doing so, I established contact with the key players at the Emergency Operation Centers and the different chapters of the American Red Cross in California, Nevada and Hawaii, the three states in our territory.
  • Ambassade du Canada au Danemark - Cultural Attaché

    2003 - 2007 Injected enthusiasm into the Canadian Embassy in Denmark's role among the French speaking community, The ‘’Francophonie’’. The Embassy became a reference for any cultural and public affairs events among the Embassies part of the ‘’Francophonie’’ in Denmark, more precisely:
    - Developed visiting programs for Canadian authors targeting various publics and held in different venues. These greater public relations have enabled us to have a great impact with these special guests and to enhance recognition of the Canadian Embassy and its authors.
    - Built new partnerships with grant agencies in Canada and in Europe and with local businesses and worked with all French speaking embassies on other issues gathering and sharing all individual strengths and competencies.
    - Managed the logistic of high level visits (Canadian senior civil servants and ministers). These visits enabled
    the department to identify foreign government’s best practices and to apply them into Canadian context.
    Themes went from sustainable energy to human resources management. A Canadian province has since then built a windmill park bought in Denmark.
  • Statistique Canada - Senior Economist

    1992 - 2003 Acted as mediator between STATISTICS CANADA, a national statistical agency and the top 100 largest Canadian enterprises (high technology, food, aeronautic and railway sectors) and obtained following results:
    - Created innovative solutions, facilitated the survey tasks of long term non-responding enterprises and recovered essential internal statistical reports from these enterprises which improved data accuracy in their respective business sectors. This lead to a better System of National Accounts, essential to redistribute the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) contributions in Canadian Maritime provinces.
    - Managed cost-recovery household surveys financed by other departments or private clients and answered socio-economic questions in relation to knowledge of the typical profile of the investor in Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) and incentives to start investing in post-secondary education for the rest of the population, their children and/or their grand-children. The survey results has increased the annual maximum governmental contribution to $ 4,000 per child and maintained grant on the first $ 2,000.
