I received the engineering degree in 2004 from USTHB University of Algiers-Algeria, and the Master diploma in June 2005 from University of technology of Compiegne, France. In October 2005, I joined the Multimedia Communications Department at Eurecom to study toward the Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Benoit Huet. I defended my Ph.D thesis in June 2009, with a Very Honorable mention. During 2009-2011, I worked with Ivan Laptev as a research engineer under the Quaero project at Willow-TexMex INRIA research teams. In June 2011, I moved to TexMex-INRIA of Rennes in the Hervé Jégou group.
Specialties:My research interests include multimedia indexing, content-based video retrieval, object and scene recognition from video and still images, event detection, tracking, multi-level fusion, classification, and machine learning.
I am looking for opportunities and professional relationships in my area of expertise (computer vision, signal/ image processing and machine learning) and also in applied mathematics and/or software development.
