  • Automating cloning operations using which leaded minimizing or eliminating human errors and problems related to these manual operations. This has contributed to the acceptation of the entire project by RAMQ internal teams which were in charge of the backup operations of the IT environment of the RAMQ.
  • Supporting the EMC NetWorker backup of the RAMQ, which included about 1200 physical (10%) and virtual servers (80%) mainly Windows servers (2000/2003/2008/2008R2) and some AIX servers through the supervision of alerts, alarms and errors and proactive responses to them to ensure that all backups run smoothly and finish successfully.
  • Participated in the analysis and resolution of problems that have been re-occurring enigmatically in the environment since its inception and that the vendor support was not been able to solve.
  • Participated in the installation and configuration of NetWorker clients and modules for backup applications for critical environment that had little or no tolerance to downtime (Oracle, MSSQL, Exchange, Lotus Notes, SharePoint, ...)
  • Supported operations of cloning of virtual backup tapes to physical backup tapes for offsite storage at Iron Mountain locations.
  • Participated in the upgrading and updating of the Networker environment including the hardware servers that hosted it .

  • Participation in the resolution of critical issues and implementing changes in a critical and complex environment composed of several enterprise Solaris servers and VCS clusters.
  • Participation in deploying new servers, upgrading both OS and various software components (VxVM, VxFS, Zones, ZFS, LDOM, perl, SQL, bash, awk, sed...), migrating applications to new physical servers, patching and hardening servers.

  • Participation in installing and configuring the ssh / sftp perl CPAN modules for Oracle PeopleSoft financials which helped avoid purchasing licenses for the encrypted file transfers.
  • Participation in the implementation of automating BCV sync / split tasks for offline backup of Oracle financials environment.
  • Participation in the implementation of LAN free backup using TSM for critical environments such as Lotus Notes and Oracle financials.

  • Providing 3rd level support of midrange enterprise Solaris servers, deploying new servers, upgrading OS and various software components (VxVM, VxFS, Apache, MySQL, PHP, ...) and hardware refresh by migrating applications to new physical servers, hardening servers for security purposes, applying patches regularly to ensure a good level of security.
  • Participation in relocating all SAP servers (F15K, E10K, V890 and V490) including EMC storage arrays from Rockville data center to Tulsa data center.

  • Participation in supporting the technology infrastructure of the Oracle application ERP project for the government of Quebec (Canada).
