Technical skills & competences
- Gather and organize 2D/3D seismic data; pick and correlate horizons covering an assigned area of exploration and present results to superiors, peers and partners in technical review session, with limited supervision
- Design processing parameters for seismic data
- Design seismic acquisition program in areas where more geophysical data is required
- Perform seismic data interpretation with limited supervision and generate structure, isochronal and other maps to illustrate oil and gas prospects and leads
- Analyze velocity fields and construct velocity and depth maps that reflect subsurface conditions
- Organize, with limited supervision, check shot /VSP acquisition, including planning and QC work
- Perform seismic acquisition QC as required
- Design hydrographical acquisition program with limited supervision, including echo sounder, pinger and side scan sonar acquisition parameters.
- Perform Pinger, side scan sonar and echo sounder data interpretation for hydrographical surveys
- Design GPS Handheld (Single frequency receiver) and DGPS (Dual frequency receiver) Field work program.
- Perform GPS & DGPS data interpretation for Navigation surveys
Computer skills & competences
- Program: Language C, Matlab, and many coordinates transformation programs (Excel Macro) from local datum to WGS84.
- Software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop CS3
- Field expertise-related software: Petrosys 16.5, Canvas 11-2-1269, ArcGis 9.2, MapInfo Professional 9.5, RadExPro 14, Kingdom Suite 8.5 and Sismage.
