Carried out laboratory assessment missions in developing countries in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle-East;
Organized and facilitated Laboratory training workshops for laboratory specialists and epidemiologists;
Coordinated international WHO microbiology laboratory proficiency testing programmes for African and Eastern Mediterranean regions;
Facilitated access to up-to-date knowledge for laboratory specialists in developing countries, through the development and management of an Internet Resource Center for National Public Health Laboratories;
Organized or participated in, various international or national conferences, meetings or workshops on public health laboratory, communicable diseases surveillance and response, and health security;
Co-authored WHO publications in the field of laboratory medicine, laboratory systems, communicable diseases surveillance and response and health security.
