Entreprises

  • Safran Aircraft Engines - Test Engineer ground/flight on aircraft engines

Courcouronnes 2013 - maintenant I work on the Silvercrest Programm
I’m in charge of the preparation, the realization and the report of the test campaign for different engines.
Our test facilities is either a bench test on ground at Istres or the Flight Test Bed (FTB) at San Antonio Texas.
I’m more in charge of the FTB for which I prepare the test matrix, test program, the test order, follow the building of the engine and the definition of the instrumentation.
In collaboration with the data team, we prepare the software to visualize on time all the safety parameters of the engine.
Then we perform the test campaign.
I drive the test either from the ground station or in the aircraft (where we have dedicated computer and other items to control the engine and perform the test).
At the end, I write report and analyze the data.
During all the different step, I have to manage the mechanics, electricians and measurement team to have the engine and the bench ready on time. I have also to report to the management team about schedule, budget.

  • Airbus - Aerodynamic engineer, flight identification for handling qualities

Blagnac 2010 - 2013 I worked in the aerodynamic handling qualities department in flight.
Thanks to this role, I wrote test request, worked with flight test engineer to define the test order, went with the flight test engineer in simulator to prepare the flight, followed from ground station all the flight. I also performed some flight inside the aircraft. I analyzed the data and wrote report at the end of the test.
I also replace some colleagues during their maternity leave as programm coordinator. I was the focal point for the team and for the other departement for the programm Single Aisle Sharklet and Neo. In this role, I had to coordinate the activities of the team to be able to deliver on time the data for the flight and the simulator department. I had to challenge budget, planning, to have our input data on time. I still continue to follow and prepare flight.
  • Airbus - Aerodynamic engineer for handling qualities-wind tunnel test

Blagnac 2006 - 2010 I created pre-flight aerodynamics data thanks to wind tunnel test results for the A400M and A350.
I was responsible to coordinate for the team all the wind tunnel test for all aircraft program. This experience developed my capacity to manage schedule, budget and human resources.
I followed the project from its birth (define the model, the instrumentation, test matrix, choose the appropriate wind tunnel test regarding the test to perform) to the achievement (following the test, reacting quickly to the riskiness during the test). In parallel, I supported all the question coming from my colleagues. Thanks to this coordinator aspect, I travelled all around Europe to follow the wind tunnel test.
I was also responsible to develop the wind tunnel test for the Flight Test Bed for the Open Rotor Engine (European project). Thanks to my knowledge in wind tunnel test, I was responsible to develop the model on which we will perform the test, to find the appropriate wind tunnel, to write the test matrix. I had to respect the budget, to take into account all the needs of my colleagues.
