  • UNDP-BURUNDI - Operations Manager

    2005 - 2008 Key responsibilities:

    -Support the UNDP Country Office fundraising strategy,
    -Take part in the preparation of reports/mid-term reports and project final reports submitted to the donors;
    -Ensure the correct registration of expenditures on the UNDP database system(Atlas).
    -Manage the contractual arrangements with the implementing partners (i.e. National and International NGOs), conduct training to the partners on the administrative and operating modalities of UNDP (DEX modalities);
    -Organize Operations sections meetings and ensure the proper implementaion of recommendations by responsible units/staffs
    -Manage Office staffing needs and recruitments in accordance to programs requirement and fundings availability
    -Maintain personnel records (leaves, trainings, travel, etc) ;
    -Supervise petrol management and verify on a periodic basis the vehicle log book;
    Key achievements:
    -Opening and management of five sub-offices in the most vulnerable provinces of Burundi;
    -Successfully submission to ACP-New-York of the 16 first early recovery projects.
  • OCHA, Abidjan - Administrative and finance officer

    2003 - 2005 Key Responsibilities:

    -Prepare financial reports and annual cost plans;

    -Liaise with resources mobilization branch (HQ) to track and monitor donors' contributions;

    -Manage and reconcile UNDP Inter Office Vouchers (IOVs) with OCHA financial management data base;

    -Supervise the management of the petty cash;

    -Update the list of local staff for security and administrative purpose;

    -Coordinate all staff management issues in relation with Geneva (HQ)
    -Provide administrative support to the regional sub-offices; act as the security focal point for the office (MOSS & MORSS compliance)…

    Key achievements:

    -Development of the Country office Financial Information Management system, approved by the Head quarters in Geneva and disseminated by OCHA in selected Country Offices

    -Quick deployment of eight sub-offices MOSS compliant
