    2008 - 2010 Conducting due diligence for Private Equity / M&A Firms and for Clients considering strategic partnerships, acquisitions, mergers, or investments as an avenue to growth. Screening and selecting potential targets for the client and assessing the strategic and operational fit between both entities, prior to the transaction. The goal is to help understand how one can really create value through the proposed partnership and minimise the risk of failure.

    Helping organisations to clearly establish the drivers, objectives and outcomes of a robust partnering strategy. Researching the market for interested partners, seek expressions of interest and assist in the shortlisting 2 - 3 ideal partners, based on clearly defined selection criteria.

    As India rapidly emerges into a major market for global businesses, most firms need to explore the Indian business landscape to tap the growing market, or to seek resources. I develop strategy for Global Clients to enter the Indian market by leveraging extensive knowledge of the Indian business environment.
  • Embassy of India in France - Commercial Officer

    2007 - 2008 The main focus was on identifying and qualifying trade and investment opportunities for Indian clients and guiding them in the French market. The opportunities include private and public sector contracts. Indian clients include Indian BSE 100 and SME firms and government departments.

    Specific functions included:

    Developing current knowledge of the markets of responsibility in order to provide advice, assistance and response to clients
    Relationship building with Indian clients
    Relationship building with local contacts
    Advice to Clients on Local Assistance (e.g.; assessing the strengths of potential local agents)
    Troubleshooting (e.g.; assisting clients on market access issues)
    Planning with other members of the Trade Section (e.g.; for upcoming periods of time)
    Planning and managing for specific events (e.g. trade missions)

    Promoting Indian investment into France

  • Embassy of India in France - Press and Protocol officer

    2000 - 2007 As a Protocol Officer:
    Planning, coordinating, executing and supervising the proper conduct of ceremonies, special events, official social functions and visits of distinguished visitors.
    Developing comprehensive concept plans for official visits and special functions
    Greeting and escorting distinguished visitors through their visit or arranges for suitable escorts and transportation.

    As a Press Officer:
    - answering journalists' enquiries
    - writing press releases and news articles
    - liaising with the press and broadcast media on an everyday basis via telephone, email and networking
    - monitoring press and broadcast coverage
    - arranging press conferences, news briefings, media interviews, visits and public events;
    - attending meetings and debates;
    - keeping up to date with current issues and public opinions;
    - managing the press and media in a potential crisis situation.

    Some achievements:
    • Handling of the Media delegation for Indian Prime Minister Mr. Vajpayee’s visit to Evian for G8 Summit (May-June 2003)
    • Handling of cultural events.
    • Organization for setting up the India Pavilion at the 55th, 56th, 57th and 58th International Cannes Film Festival, France including handling of the official delegation and logistical arrangements (2002-2005)
    • Handling pavilion at many economic events like 3GSM World Congress, International Water Symposium, (2005, 2006, 2008)
    • Editing and Publising of ‘India Digest’
